My work investigates the intersection of humanity and technology, exploring identity, emotion, and cultural memory through painting. From expressive robot portraits to narrative-driven compositions, I examine how perception and experience are refracted in a world shaped by machines. Bold colors, textured surfaces, and improvisational techniques serve as metaphors for complex emotional and cognitive states, creating immersive, contemplative spaces. Drawing on Afrofuturist ideas and expressionist approaches, my paintings reveal unseen connections between human experience and technological evolution, inviting viewers to reflect on how technology mirrors, amplifies, and transforms the inner life. – Jasimen Phillips
